City Hope

Challenge:

Business models are not only crucial to the success of for-profit enterprises, but are perhaps even more important in the nonprofit sector. While nonprofit organizations have a very different revenue stream than their for-profit counterparts, a solid business model is still required to help the organization continue to grow and plan for the future.

Our goal for this project was to work with City Hope to create a sustainable business model for their organization, and allow them to develop a working vision and mission for the foreseeable future.

Outcomes:

To date, City Hope has done an exceptional job of attracting donors. They have a substantial amount of funding for their programs, however, in order for business to sustain itself but to grow, City Hope will need to push to maintain and expand current fundraising efforts. By refining the business model through extensive research, we were able to create more profitable business model for City Hope to turning its current opportunities to strengths. We concluded with a  list of areas for improvement, the big steps that City Hope will need to take, and the three new business model changes that we are proposing in order to make City Hope a more sustainable and successful organization.
